The Jerilderie girls had a great win under the lights on Saturday against Berrigan.
The later start than usual didn’t seem to bother them, with everyone enjoying the cooler conditions.
Jerilderie came out strong from the first whistle.
With a couple of girls away this week, they welcomed fill in Jorja Paganoni, who slotted in beautifully.
She combined well in the midcourt, delivering the ball into the circle with speed and precision.
As always, our defence was strong and relentless.
B-grade: Jerilderie 44 def by Berrigan 46.
The girls took to the court in a tightly contested twilight match against Berrigan on Saturday, producing a strong and determined performance from start to finish.
With a clear focus on controlling the centre passes and playing our own game, the girls came out firing and set the tone early.
In the end, it was a nail-biter, with the girls giving it everything but falling just two goals short. A fantastic team effort.
C-grade: Jerilderie 41 def Berrigan 40.
Jerilderie C-grade came away with a great win over Berrigan in an exciting and competitive match.
The team displayed strong teamwork right across the court, consistently working together and supporting each other in every passage of play.
Their communication and connection were standout.
It was a solid all-round performance, with every player contributing and putting in a great effort.
A well-earned win for Jerilderie and a great reward for the team’s hard work.
C-Reserve: Jerilderie 19 def by Berrigan 25.
It was a great contest between the two C-Reserve teams, with seesawing momentum from the outset until the end.
Basic errors and second quarter inaccuracy proved the difference in a tight match with Jerilderie.
BOC went to Sienna Reid, who kept intensity in defence all day and helped bring the ball down court in passages of play.
Brooke Pitt played an awesome game in WD and Katie Gurciullo took home an award for her determination and positive attitude.
Under-17s: Jerilderie 59 def Berrigan 37.
It was a fantastic effort from the team in the twilight match against Berrigan.
The girls came out strong from the first whistle and maintained that intensity and momentum right through to the final siren.
The defence put in an outstanding performance, working tirelessly and showing great composure.
They listened to feedback and immediately applied it on court, which made a real difference in shutting down Berrigan’s attack.
The mid-court were relentless and in the goal circle, the shooters were again exceptional.
Their teamwork, movement, and understanding of each other ensured a steady flow of goals.
It was truly a team effort, a fantastic game and a well-earned result.
Under 15s: Jerilderie 31 def Berrigan 23.
The team delivered a dominant performance against Berrigan, controlling the game from the opening whistle.
The girls remained composed and competitive throughout, playing exceptional netball despite a number of unfavourable calls.
Their determination and teamwork were evident across the court, with every player contributing to what was arguably their strongest performance of the season.
Best on court Abby Mitchell once again had a standout game, securing several crucial intercepts that converted into multiple scoring opportunities.
It was a well-deserved win for the Dee’s.

Under-13s: Jerilderie 28 def Berrigan 1.
It was a terrific win against Berrigan, working well as a team from start to finish.
Thanks to the under-11s for stepping up to play and support the team on the bench.
Under 11s: Not scored.
It was a fantastic day of netball from our junior teams!
The morning kicked off with our under-9 match, and it’s hard to believe just how advanced these young players are for their age.
Their confidence, teamwork and understanding of the game continues to impress.
The under-11s followed with a strong performance, coming out with great energy from the first whistle.
The team worked beautifully together down the court, converting plenty of opportunities into goals while also applying pressure in defence.
