Commencing on June 29, the program closely mirrors key aspects of the senior Victorian program while also including expanded playing opportunities across different formats throughout the season.
Players have been selected based on their efforts across both, senior and Under 18 Premier competitions, as well as their performances during last year’s Cricket Australia National Championships.
It promises to be an exciting summer ahead with the Under 19 National Championships taking place from November 30 to December 9, before the ICC Under 19 World Cup gets underway in January.
Victoria’s squads will be mentored by former first-class player and experienced Dandenong and Geelong Premier Coach, Nick Speak, former Ryder Medallist and CV Talent Specialist, James Miller, and former Victorian players Travis Dean and Jon Holland.
Jobe has been selected in several representative squads this season, recently breaking the Caulfield Grammar School’s batting record.
Cricket Victoria Male Talent Development Manager, Tom Evans, said both squads were looking forward for the opportunities ahead.
“We’re excited by the depth of both our squads, which is a testament to the strength of our community clubs, its coaches and the pathways that are in place which have helped nurture and grow the next generation of Victorian cricketers,” Mr Evans said.
“We look forward to continuing developing them as cricketers and people and giving them that top-level experience playing in a variety of formats during such an important year with the National Championships and the Under 19’s World Cup.”
