The Bob Skillton Medal, the Swans night of nights, saw Jordon claim third place with 188 votes behind Isaac Heeney who claimed the 2025 Bob Skilton Medal, his second consecutive Club Champion title with 253 points and ruckman Brodie Grundy who took home the Adam Goodes Trophy as runner-up with 238 points.
Jordon was trusted with tagging some of the competition's best midfielders, but this did not stop his ability to press forward and kick goals.
Swans coach Dean Cox described Jordon as essentially a coach’s dream, playing for his teammates and constantly working on his own craft.
“Selfless, would do anything for a teammate, incredible work rate, spends an enormous amount of time on his game. It’s attributes you love to see,” Cox said.
“He came to our club at the end of 2023 and has had an immediate impact on his teammates.”
While not raking up the disposals as much this year, as he has in his 114 game career so far, Jordon nullified some the games best players, helping the Swans to 12 wins for the year.
In round 2 against the player he saw as his toughest opponent this year, Jordon finished with 24 disposals. His his best tagging role was in the Swans round 16 loss to the Western Bulldogs with 10 tackles, 11 disposals and kicking a goal.
“I’ve loved my two years here so far. I had some great battles with Caleb Serong (Fremantle Dockers) this year and I’ve really enjoyed going up against the best player each week,” Jordon said.
“I’m a pretty competitive person and if I can do my bit for the team, I’m pretty happy.
“I watch a lot of vision but at the end of the day, you just have to back yourself in and go head to head with your opponent and hope it goes your way.”
While Jordon gears up for season 2026 with the Swans, fellow Yarrawonga product Caleb Mitchell, who also found himself at the Swans after being picked up with pick 40 in the 2022 National Draft has been delisted.
Mitchell debuted in round 3, 2024 against Richmond at the MCG before going on to play three games in the AFL over three years.
Swans footy boss Leon Cameron said it was always a really difficult time of year when these decisions need to be made.
"Caleb, Robbie (Fox), Indhi (Kirk) and Ben (Paton) have all made significant contributions to the Swans through their time here at the club,” Cameron said.
“We are very grateful for their hard work and commitment.
"On behalf of everyone at the club, I wish all boys the very best for their futures."
Pigeons aim to climb ladder
After a disappointing 2025 season for the Yarrawonga Pigeons with numerous injuries, the Pigeons are getting on the front foot to make their climb back up the Ovens and Murray ladder.
Already the Yarrawonga seniors have announced the resigning of much of their 2025 list as well as adding a few new faces, and welcoming some old faces back to the club.
The first signing announced was that of 26 year old ruckman Jack Elliott who has seen him rise through the ranks at Roxburgh Park and the Calder Cannons NAB League before becoming one of the most dominant big men in the Essendon and District Football League.
Elliott makes the move to the Pigeons as a multiple senior best and fairest winner, seven times EDFL team of the year selection, 2023 EDFL Hutchison Medal runner up and Roxburgh Park captain for four years.
The Pigeons have also announced the signing of a forward from cross town rival Murray Football League team, Mulwala with Charley McKenna signing on for the 2026 season.
McKenna kicked seven goals in Mulwala’s Preliminary final this year, with the Pigeons eager to see where he can take his game in a higher league.
A fellow Lion, and Yarrawonga junior Baxter Donovan will follow McKenna to the Pigeons after coming through the ranks in the Under 12s and 14s before joining Mulwala.
As a towering 194cm key forward, Donovan has already tasted senior footy with a handful of games at Mulwala before recently being a part of the 2025 Bushrangers program, showcasing his talent and potential at the next level.
Another local to the region looking to prove himself at the highest level locally is James (Jimmy) Hanrahan who brings with him an incredible footy résumé.
With accolades across multiple leagues, Jimmy is a two time Rutherglen Cats Senior Best and Fairest, 2022 TDFL Team of the Year, CDHBU Senior Best and Fairest, Hume League Interleague Team, Runner Up CDHBU Best & Fairest, third in Hume League MVP 2025 and fourth in the Hume League Azzi medal.
Pigeons name 2026 coaches
The Pigeons have also named their coaches for the next season with senior stars Cam Wilson and Bailey Frauenfelder to take the reins of the thirds while two well-known clubmen in Bronson Schofield and Matt O’Dwyer will lead the reserves.
The final piece of the senior coaching puzzle is also in place, with Leigh Williams confirmed to lead the club for a second consecutive season.
