The youngest Pigeons gave their all during the battle against St Pats. The lads all arrived early and were into the warmup without hesitation - literally kicking the dew off the grass.
Billy Stevens was a standout early racking up plenty of possessions. Jack Ibrahim and Ted Brear were standouts in defence and on the counterattack.
Cody Costello and Mac Hargreaves demonstrated poise and skill when finishing some great passages of play with goals.
The opposition were a quality side and proved to be too good in the end.
However, all of the boys showed great enthusiasm and there are some really positive signs of growth.

Under 14s
Yarrawonga 12.7.79 defeated St Pats 3.2.30
The Under 14s boys recorded a good win against an undermanned St Pats. With a few of the top age boys stepping up to Under 16s, it offered an opportunity for the rest of the team to shine.
Lach Conway and Max Loughnan had their best games this season, running forward with poise. Miller Smith was strong around the contest. Connor McCarty and Cooper Clark rotated mostly between ruck and full forward, both strong overhead and attacking the goals.
Lucas Tonna certainly knows where the goals are, finishing with three.
Charlie Hargreaves and Ollie Tresize appear to be gaining confidence every week. Rhys Driscoll made some telling passes with his trusty left boot.
Jack Van Den Bosch backed himself well in the last line of defence.

This week the Under 16 boys played against St Pats with a big turnover of players due to unavailability and injury.
A big thank you to Under 14 boys; Sam Trembarth, Archie Skehan, Jobe Fraser and Mitch Tyson for playing up to help out with numbers. All boys contributed well and had fantastic games.
In what was a complete team effort with the back line lead by Cohen Cuskelly and Memphis Bramich repelled all of St Pats forward entries.
The midfield in Griffin Surry, Nate Williams and Xavier Mitchell played competitively all day.
The forward line up in Mitch Appleby, Jacob Doig and Darby Pendergast gave the St Pats backline plenty of headaches.
