The Under 12 boys almost snatched another victory from the jaws of defeat, but the final minutes just didn’t fall their way.

Olly Seal and Wally Hammond gave the Pigeons a real lift this week. Cody Costello was brilliant again and Billy Stevens and Byron Dodd worked hard in the midfield.

Sam Cummings is developing nicely as a forward and was given some good assistance from Ned Saunders.

Another tight battle and again the boys showed grit and determination.

Yarrawonga 4.9.33 defeated by North Albury 5.7.37.

Oh so close. It was a tight contest throughout, with both sides struggling to kick goals.

Fraser, Smith, Cummins and Trembath worked overtime in the middle. Tresize and Kaine gave great assistance on the wings.

McCarty continued his strong form up forward, kicking 3 goals for the game. It was dour defence from Loughnan and Jaques.

After an hour, it came down to a kick after the siren. From 40m out, Jobe Fraser launched but the ball drifted to hit the post.

Well done Hoppers. A fitting finish for a close tussle.
