The team knew it was going to be a tough day, but the inclusion of Daisy Daniel gave a bit more hope. She played a blinder, helped the team, and blended in well.
There were some great passages of play, but they couldn’t stop the Kats.

It was a slow and shaky start for the Saints, handing Katandra a six-goal head start.
Nevertheless, the team continued to fight on despite things not going to plan.
Some good lessons for the side and a good chance to reflect and refresh leading into the bye.

This game was played against a very quick and tall Katandra side.
Another slow start and pressure on the Berrigan defence saw Katandra get a quick start. Some changes in defence and attack helped stem the Katandra midcourt and allowed the Saints to be more competitive for the rest of the match.
Molly Rice excelled at goalkeeper on a couple of very tall goal shooters to take the $50 award.
Other awards to Marley Galea, who used her speed and ball reading at wing defence and goal defence, and Laressa Guiney, who played a strong game in the centre before taking up goal attack.

The Saints claimed a brilliant win, showcasing the results of everyone’s consistent effort and hard work at training, which is really starting to shine on game day.

Under-17s: Berrigan 38 def Katandra 21.
The team started a little slow but were able to get the win they were chasing.
Lucy Pyle slipped into the defensive circle.
Milena Sneddon ran the midcourt and was a delight to witness, controlling the flow and the feed in from circle edge and onto base.

Under-15s: Berrigan 21 def by Katandra 23.
This was an even contest with only two goals’ difference for much of the game, but the Saints just couldn’t manage to get over the line, which was disappointing.
Players were encouraged to chase the ball a bit more and not drop their heads when the decisions don’t go their way.
Thanks to Marlee Simpson for filling in and playing so well in defence.
Sophia Ruby Morgan and Darcie Smith worked well together in the goal ring, a combination that is certainly one to follow in the future for the Saints.
Larni Gorman once again worked tirelessly in the midcourt.

It was a hard-fought game and even though the Saints went down by three goals, every player showed heart and spirit.
The attacking end was impressive, moving the ball, creating space and staying calm under pressure.
Every goal was the result of teamwork, trust, and so much effort, and showed how far the girls have progressed.

A special highlight was the huge success of the Little Ladies Day for the Minis round, an exciting morning filled with netball, pampering, and inspiring speakers focusing on positive communication and self-confidence.
It was a wonderful celebration of the future Saints and Kats, and a great reminder of the supportive, family spirit within the clubs.
The girls played well as a team, using all players down the court, which resulted in four goals for the Saints.
