L-G erases grand final demons to claim opening round win

It didn’t take long for the Bombers to find some form in the second quarter, kicking three straight through the middle.

Christopher Horman, Will Brereton, Josh Hawken, Bryce Barnstable, Kyle Green, Jye Keath were listed as L-G’s best in an emphatic win for the travelling side.

Ending its day with a 38-point victory over the pre-season flag favourites, L-G has sent a powerful message to the rest of the league — it won’t let what happened in 2024 define what it’ll do in 2025.

The Bombers will head home with their heads high, where they will look to continue their hot start against Huntly in round two.
