Mulwala 53 defeated Nathalia 33.
With an unfortunate injury and first loss last week, the Lions girls came out determined to prove themselves.
The defence were a wall of strength and consistent pressure down the court saw many turnovers, resulting in a pleasing half time lead.
The attacking end got better with their movement of the ball each quarter and the new goaling combination gelled together well.
16 year old Mikaela Woosnam held her own in defence, coming up from B grade for this weeks match. Well done girls.

B Grade
Mulwala 42 defeated Nathalia 28.
The B grade girls came out firing from the first whistle and applied great pressure all over the court. Their ability to play tight, one on one netball showed in the warm conditions and the Lions pulled away to a comfortable lead to be up by 13 at three quarter time.
Plenty of Nathalia balls were intercepted by the Mulwala solid defenders. Leah came on at half time for her first game of the season and pulled in every missed goal of the Nathalia shooters.
Great game by all girls.

C Grade
Mulwala 40 defeated by Nathalia 44.
The C Grade girls played a great game and never gave up. The ball was passed well down the court and it was an amazing fight to the end. Bad luck on the loss.

C Res
Mulwala 35 defeated by Nathalia 43.
Strong start from the Lions girls, but a quick few goals from Nathalia got them on top.
Amazing ten goal last quarter got Mulwala back into the game. Unfortunately the Lions didn’t come away with a win but there was a massive improvement and energy to move on into next weeks game.

Under 17s
Mulwala 42 defeated Nathalia 40.
A great start from the under 17s this week. The girls came out firing for their first win of the season and they did just that.
Strong defensive pressure throughout the court and fast reaction times from every single player put the girls in front position.
Accurate shooting and timing from the attackers made it hard for the Purps to interfere. Well done girls, great win! You should all be very proud.

Under 15s
Mulwala 45 defeated Nathalia 11.
The girls were once again able to showcase their versatility, easily adapting to position changes at both ends of the court.
Alannah and Roxy were strong in defence, reading the play well resulting in many turnovers.

Under 13s
Mulwala 28 defeated Nathalia 22.
A tough game for the girls with even scoring in the first three quarters. With consistent midcourt, this settled the team with turnovers and goals.
The last quarter saw Mulwala win by 7 goals. Great feeding into the ring and leading into space. Well done girls!

Under 11s
With a slow start to the game the girls all tried different positions. The final half of the game proved the win against Nathalia. The Lions’ girls talked well to bring home a well-deserved win.
