Barooga 26 def by Mulwala 47.
On another warm game day, Mulwala faced Barooga in a competitive match filled with energy and determination.
From the first whistle, the A Grade girls worked hard across the court, adapting well to positional changes and showing great teamwork.
The defence was tight and disciplined, making it hard for Barooga to break through, while the mid-court players moved the ball quickly and accurately.
In the goal ring, the shooters remained calm under pressure, converting their chances with confidence.
It was great to see all players stepping up, supporting one another, and giving their all in every position.
Their strong team effort led to a well-earned win—an excellent display of skill, resilience, and sportsmanship.
Well done, Mulwala.

B Grade
Barooga 37 def by Mulwala 45.
B grade travelled to Barooga for round five.
The team was once again challenged in the first quarter with Barooga coming out hard.
Goalers Emma-Jane and Tayla being met in the ring by strong defence, having to use all their skills and experience.
In the second quarter coach Shani Dickins made some changes with Milla going from defence to mid court.
Freya taking the court to help Cara who was having a great game at GK getting a lot of rebounds.
At half time Mul were up by six goals.
Anna, Sophia and Georgia were using the ring and running hard but the game was far from over.
Coach Shani came on for her first game of the season in defence and was rallying the team.
Milla was moved into goals the team showed versatility kept the pressure on the opponents and came away with the win.

C Grade
Barooga 33 def by Mulwala 53.
From the opening whistle, C Grade established dominance, quickly gaining an early lead.
The mid court led by Nat Ferguson displayed remarkable precision and coordination consistently converting opportunities into goals.
Lily Burns stepped into three different positions on the day and did her team and coach proud, applying relentless pressure in both defence and transition.
Mon Russell applied persistence all day in the back line forcing numerous turnovers and showed mighty courage for her height.
Pip Poll rotated well with two other goalies in the forward line demonstrating excellent accuracy, quick ball movement and composure under pressure.
This team continues to show case their depth each week and maintain their momentum.

C Res
Barooga 30 def Mulwala 27.
In hot conditions, the C Res team took to the court fully aware they were in for a tight contest.
The girls started strong, with Myley and Toot combining beautifully in the ring to reward the team’s hard work through the midcourt.
Annabel was a standout, showing incredible versatility and determination no matter where she was placed on the court.
Her relentless pressure made life difficult for Barooga at every turn. Despite a strong start, a few lapses in concentration allowed Barooga to claw their way back into the game.
Unfortunately, they were able to capitalise on the momentum shift and edged ahead to take the win.
A great effort from the whole team in challenging conditions – plenty of positives to take into next week.

Under 17s
Barooga 31 def by Mulwala 49.
The girls got off to a slow start but started to get it together throughout the game.
Alani switched between both ends and proved dominant at either end, while Taylah dominated down the whole court.
Roxy switched between many positions and even scored two goals. Emily, Alannah, Ruby and Jemma played well in the defence end getting many tips and taps.
Iris also played strong in and out of the ring. Good win girls.

Under 15s
Barooga 18 def Mulwala 50.
Barooga came to play, play, play, play, play. But Mulwala just shot away, way, way, way, way. Lions came to win, win, win, win, win, so the Lions just shot it in, shot it in. Mim and Chloe fed, fed, fed, fed that ring, quick passes, slick moves, just doing their thing.
Nix and Charli never missed their mark, shooting goals, like a walk in the park. Defenders they block, block, block, block, block. Ruby, Summer, Nat, Claire are full lock.
Ever in the back line with ice cold flair, shutting her opponent down like she’s not even there.
Cause the players ‘going to play, play, play, play, play, and the Lions are here to stay, stay, stay, stay, stay.
They’re jelling like a team, so just take it in Mulwala’s on a role….. let the fun begin.

Under 13s
Barooga 7 def by Mulwala 37.
Great win by the team. The Lions strong defence and constant hands-over kept the opposition under pressure, forcing multiple turnovers.
Their transitions from defence to attack were much improved. In the attack the girls showed sharp, well-timed drives hitting the ring, creating space and offering strong leads into the shooting circle.
Macy played well in attack, providing consistent drive through the mid court and feeding the circle with sharp, well-timed passes.
Siena was unstoppable in the mid court.
Showing strength and stamina throughout her game.
Great game by all girls. Keep up the great work.

Under 11s
Mulwala played well and had excellent defensive pressure.
