Mulwala controlled the senior match straight away as the midfield ran rampant with precise delivery into the forward line where Harley Middleton was equally as precise kicking the first three goals as Mulwala piled on 5 straight goals into quarter time.
The second quarter saw Mulwala continue their accurate kicking at goal putting the result beyond doubt leading into half time.
Charley McKenna and Dylan Scott were captivating running off halfback and Mulwala’s pressure on their Tongala opponents was exemplary as Zach Cuppins and Zach Scott were not giving their opponents an inch while using their speed to break away from many contests.
Owen Conway further enhanced his chances of a league medal with another strong game utilizing his mobility around the ground to punish Tongala on many occasions.
The silk of Tom Dow and Jackson Gash moving the ball into the forward line was fantastic to watch but not as great as the football smarts of young Jaxen Wheeler who put himself in the right spot to take a great mark and kick his first senior goal as the entire team got around the young fella.
Mulwala continued on their merry way to run away with another 100-point+ victory as the entire team continues to play their roles leading into finals.

Reserves
Tongala 6.12.48 def by Mulwala 15.7.97.
A tight tussle early as Tongala had most of the play early against the wind but were unable to make it count on the scoreboard.
Mulwala on the other hand were making the most of their opportunities moving forward to take a slender lead into quarter time.
Connor Griffiths and Joseph Bland were winning contests throughout the midfield and Angus Heslin was brilliant in the ruck contests and around the ground. Enter the experienced campaigner Sean Robinson who took control of every contest that he was near as he used his strength and guile to win the ball and kick goals in the forward line and floated through the midfield like a butterfly.
Like all silky forwards Hudson Gillies showed he doesn’t need a lot of touches to make an influence. Lach Wood and Isaac Pitches were applying great defensive pressure on the Tongala forwards as Mulwala ran away with the match further enhancing their prospects of a top two finish entering finals.
Best: C. Griffiths, A. Heslin, S. Robinson, J. Bland, I. Pitches, A. Psaltiras.
Thirds
Tongala 2.1.13 def by Mulwala 17.13.115.
The Mulwala Thirds controlled all the play from the beginning of the game against Tongala as the midfield group of Jack Walls, Oliver Watson and Josh Eder were able to capitalize on the great tap work of Brock Johnson in the ruck.
The forward set up of Jaxen Wheeler and Mitch Appleby were on fire early and the crumbing work of John Burns and Beau Sissons were not allowing the Tongala defenders to clean up any loose balls. Wingers Levi Saunders and Xavier Watson were controlling the wide spaces as Charlie Drake and Jai Sneddon were controlling the forward flanks.
On the rare occasions the ball got into Tongala’s forward half, backmen Mitch Adkins, Jye Brennan and Riley Mitchell returned the ball with interest back into Mulwala’s forward line.
Jetta Norrish was electrifying around the ground in his 50th game for the club and Coach Mark House was impressed with the way the entire team played their roles to perfection leading into finals.
