A foggy drive over and foggy ground greeted the young Lions on Saturday morning.
In the first quarter the coaches moved up the ground to be able to see the play, which was made easier as the Lions started the game on fire.
Big Richo and captain Tyce were in everything up forward with the midfield group getting on top early, led by new ruckman Blake Carey.
The game was under control by the Lions for the first half, rising the frustration levels of a tough Tongala outfit.
The third started and ended the same way, with the Lions entering the forward 50 with ease and scoring at will.
Frustrations levels reached fever point as a tussle broke out right on 3 quarter time.
This only infused the young Lions with greater determination and the huddle at 3 quarter time was the tightest all year.
The last quarter was a fierce battle with the Lions again controlling play until the final siren rang loud.
A great game to end the season and now onto the finals.

The Lions knew this was going to be a tough game, coming up against an undefeated Tongala.
The girls started strong and scores were level at quarter time.
Unfortunately, the Lions couldn’t keep up with a stronger opposition, but they didn’t give up and made Tongala earn the win.
Hannah was outstanding, with strong leads and passes on point. Beth played her 200th game and as usual used her netball smarts to create great play all across the court. Annabel and Belle worked hard all game in defence, causing several turnovers.
This was the last game for the season and was a great team effort.
