The A Grade made finals and were hungry for the win. The coaches are so proud of each teammate for getting as far as they did. With only Brodie being in the 2018 side.
The Lions had a new, young team that were determined to learn. From the beginning of the year everyone has improved. Mulwala have created a team and a winning team. I have enjoyed coaching this beautiful bunch of girls and look forward to 2020 when we will be even stronger. With a slight loss by one goal, it hurts but we are all proud of how far we have come.
Thanks to all the supporters and game day helpers. A huge thanks to Cathie, Kerrie and Sharon for always having my back on the bench, you guys are amazing. Good luck to all the other teams.
B Grade
Mulwala 46 defeated by Moama 47
Unfortunately this game just wasn’t Mulwala’s game. They were chasing their tails from the first whistle, but to their credit they stuck in there and had some amazing catch ups, going down by only one goal at the final whistle. So much work on this week to get back to playing our game of netball that we all know we are capable of. Let’s regroup and come out firing next week, getting another step closer to that goal.
C Grade
Mulwala 37 defeated Deniliquin 36
Straight to the prelim final for the girls. What a great game to watch and be part of. The game was even right down to the wire, winning by one goal with 30 seconds to go. In warm conditions the Lions showed an all-round amazing team effort. Defence, mid court and gaolers all playing out of their skin. Looking forward to the week off and being well prepared to smash the prelim. Go Mul.
C Reserve
Mulwala 39 defeated Deniliquin 33
An inspiring four quarter team performance saw the C Reserve girls take the win and one step closer towards the big one. First quarter set the scene with Mulwala attacking the ball at both ends of the court creating turnovers and great passages of play.
The girls took a lead of 5 into the second quarter and didn’t look back. The second and third quarter efforts defensively was outstanding enabling the attackers to convert and hold the lead. The fourth quarter Deni tried hard to get the game back on their terms but the Mul girls wanted the win and held the lead, playing excellent netball as a team. If the Lions can continue to play with this passion, they can take it all the way. Congrats girls, enjoy the break.
Under 15s
Mulwala 12 defeated by Moama 35
Moama came out strong on Saturday and never looked back, Mulwala never gave up and should be very proud of how far they have come this year as a team, well done girls.
