The 2025 Eagle I T-L Irrigation Murray Football Netball League fixture has been released with Mulwala to host their first home game in round one on April 5.
Every year, the release of the fixture brings a wave of excitement and anticipation among players, supporters and communities with the 2025 season to represent a fresh start, an opportunity for redemption, and the promise of glory.
Round 2 will be bitter and sweet for some with Congupna to unveil the premiership flag against 2024 combatants Finley while on the netball court 2024 Grand Finalists Moama and Rumbalara will lock horns.
Early in the season in round three, the Murray FNL Easter tradition continues with all games to be played on Good Friday. Traditional rivals will go head-to-head including the Lions and Congupna with Mulwala to kickstart a big weekend of sport in the twin towns, hosting this blockbuster at Lonsdale Reserve.
The focus of the fixture is to maximise revenue for the clubs, especially early in the season. The clubs take advantage of the region’s population boom with an influx of tourists along the river.
The corresponding games from the Easter round will be replayed on the King’s Birthday weekend. The home and away season will run over 21 weeks with two split rounds and a general bye.
On the back of record attendances, the Grand Final will again be played at the Moama Recreation Reserve on September 20.
