Tuesday’s Pot Round saw 66 thirsty golfers compete for this much sought after prize and on the Blue it was Ray Scott who, despite suffering from an overdose of Easter eggs, managed to score the win with a fine 30 shots to take the prize ahead of Stuart Nixon (32) and Gary Tribe (33) with Ian Jones leading a three-way countback on 34 from Joe ‘Badfinger’ Scibberas and Ray Douglas and ball prizes going to 36 on countback.
On the Red, Charlie Hope’s 34 was enough to take the win with Noel Whitehill (37) edging Paul Byrne (38) with John Haigh and Bill Wyatt scoring 39 and ball prizes going to 41.
The game on Thursday saw Dave Hall win a countback on the Blue from Bob Mitchell with 20 points, with Craig Thurston (19) and George Plumb and Ross Watson (18) doing well and ball prizes going to 16.
On the Red, Ian Jones’ 18 points was enough to take the win ahead of Steve Williamson and a three-way countback on 15 from Noel Whitehill, Ian Barton and Geoff Burgess with ball prizes going to 12.
