The Ovens and Murray Football League proved far too strong for their fiercest rival the Goulburn Valley last Saturday, recording a 77-point victory 18.19.127 to 7.8.50 at Wangaratta Rovers WJ Findlay Oval.

The GV kicked their first major at the three-minute mark of the first term but didn’t come out to play again until the 14th minute mark of the last quarter when they kicked their second major, with the O&M leading at every stoppage and change throughout the match.

On the netball court the league’s senior netball team, which saw Pigeons’ Kaleisha Pell, Tilly Kennedy and Hannah Symes (captain), take to the court, went down 31-68 after trailing by 11 goals at the first break.
The match before in the Under 17s went down to the wire with the O&M unfortunately falling by just two goals whilst the Under 15s, which was coached by Pigeon Emma Sinclair, posted a convincing 31 goal win.
