Yarrawonga Under 12s put on a brilliant display of footy over the weekend, defeating the Wodonga Raiders 59–18 in a dominant performance from start to finish.
The game began with a bang, as Raffa Leary booted three of his impressive four goals in the opening term, showing off his strong marking ability and setting the tone early.
Finnin George was everywhere, earning best-on-ground honours for his clean ball use, pressure, and all-round impact.
Jetta Oughton was unstoppable in the air, taking marks all over the ground and helping drive the ball forward. Lewis Hargreaves, Marley Bigger, and Ryder Briffa also stood tall in key moments, ensuring Yarrawonga maintained control throughout the match.
Up forward, TJ Ward and Finn O’Brien chipped in with two goals each, while Jack Bruce slotted a clever major to round out a strong team performance in attack.
The defence was rock-solid, with Elijah, Parker, Billy, and Jimmy forming an impenetrable wall that frustrated Wodonga’s forwards all day.
On the wings, Todd Lawless and Will Cruikshank provided great run and link-up play, keeping the ball moving with pace and precision.
