The Yarrawonga Pigeons ladies are flying the Yarrawonga Football Netball Club flag in the Ovens and Murray Football Netball League 2025 finals with the A, B and C Grade’s hoping to contest the biggest prize of all on Sunday, September 21.
The race for the A Grade premiership will be hotly contested with only percentage splitting Yarrawonga in top spot and Corowa Rutherglen in second, while one game behind, only percentage splits third placed Wodonga Raiders and fourth placed North Albury.
After defeating last year’s fellow grand finalists Wodonga Raiders last weekend, the A Grade held on to top spot to claim a week off before playing in the second semi final on Saturday, September 6.
In the B Grade, the Pigeons will this weekend take on North Albury on their home court for the chance to play Wangaratta in the second semi with the Pigeons and Magpies holding one game a-piece in their two meetings throughout the home and away season.
In a feeling of déjà vu, the C Grade Pigeons who held on to book a finals berth by percentage, will once again face the Wodonga Raiders this Sunday with the Raiders having the upper hand in the past two meetings.
