The Tigers B-Reserve and 17-and-under netballers both competed in Mooroopna on Saturday.
The B-Reserve side faced Shepparton United in an elimination final, and pulled off the upset against the league’s second-ranked side, 50-44.
It was a close battle throughout, and the game only tightened down the stretch, with scores level at three-quarter and full-time.
It took the overtime period to settle the differences after a 39-all final scoreline, the Tigers running away with it in the additional minutes.
Rochy now heads into a rematch of last year’s grand final against Seymour, after the Lions were upset by Euroa in the qualifying semi.
After flipping the script against the minor premiers last week, Rochester’s 17-and-under side had the tables turned in a grand final qualifier and will now need to take the longer road.
Mooroopna got by the Tigers 38-31 to qualify for the decider, and Rochester will again take on Shepparton Bears, who it defeated by a goal last week, in search of the second grand final place.
Both preliminary finals will be held at Deakin Reserve on Sunday.
