It has been mentioned several times already that the club had had an extended break, however, one of Rennie favourites took the opportunity to spend one of those weekends at Yarroweyah.
Hoppers very own Lisa Starr was invited to complete her accreditation and earn a C Grade Umpiring Badge. Lisa is very passionate about netball.
She spent her younger years playing netball, then after an unfortunate accident on the court a few years ago, where she broke her arm and needed surgery, Lisa hung up the netball dress and has proven to be a very successful coach in the junior ranks. Most recently, Lisa has also picked up the whistle, and has regularly umpired one or two games a weekend.
The club would like to take this opportunity to not only thank Lisa for all that she does, but also congratulate her on this achievement.
