With the Rhinos at five wickets down for 74 and needing 53 runs to win, the game is evenly poised.
An interesting side narrative to the tight chase is that finals is on the line for both sides, with both teams needing to win big to give themselves a chance.
The Rhinos need at least two outright wins.
Whereas Berrigan need an outright win and other results to go their way.
“It’s a true 50:50 contest,” Deniliquin Rhinos coach John Arthur said.
“Technically there’s 80 overs to bat, though it might only take 30 overs.
“They need the points to make finals so this game is not dead by any stretch of the imagination.”
Arthur has said the Rhinos’ chase plan will focus on Andrew Hogan.
“Andrew Hogan is at the crease 24 not out.
“He needs younger blokes to bat with him. The game will depend on his ability to farm the strike.
“The reality is, for the Rhinos to win we need to get probably around 40 of the runs required from Hogan and around 12 runs from the others.
“Berrigan will be trying really hard to get his wicket.
“While Andrew is batting, the runs will come. Hopefully he can follow up his Herculean performance from last week.”
Other batters who can make a contribution will be Nick Fogo, Lochie Holloway, Hamish Baker, Jake Herberte and Shaun Arora.
“We trust the guys we’ve got to bat. We believe we can win this.
“It’s a great test for our young players and that’s what you play cricket for.”
Arthur urged locals to come down to Memorial Park for a glimpse of the action.
“It’s a great pitch, which is producing a great contest and I implore locals, if they don’t have anything else on at 12.30 this Saturday, to get down and come down to watch a great game at Deniliquin Memorial Park.”
