Qualifying rounds were held on Sunday, October 26 in a best of three frame format leading to the best of five frame final on Monday 27.
Pre-tournament favourite Adrian demonstrated his outstanding ability to take out the decider, which included a break of 61 in frame two that could easily have been a century, but Heie, a former Club Champion himself, is to be congratulated on his performance throughout the event.
Adrian’s next challenge is representing Australia in the World Cup of snooker in Oman, for which the snooker club wish him all the very best of good fortune.
Remaining 2025 events are the Club Doubles and Bob Organ B Grade championships. Completion of these contests will wrap up the season, but the snooker club will be continuing the Wednesday night social competitions over the holiday period before firing up season 2026 in February.
The Bob Organ championship, to be contested on November 10 and 11, features top seed Dave Arzuhaldzic taking on either Ben Dundee or reigning champ Jack Bassett, the very in form Wayne Rogers throwing down against Michael Barclay, Craig Jordan doing battle with the up and coming Luca Macheda, and Brandon Lucas battling Marty Dermeitzel to face second seed Ian Irvine in round two. Best of luck to all.
The cup eve contest was also taken out by Adrian Ridley, who is building his form nicely prior to jetting overseas, over Craig Jordan.
Apparently neither Craig nor Adrian collected on the Melbourne Cup mystery trifectas that they collected for their efforts, so hopefully better luck to next year’s winners.
Social night events have resulted in “Mr Wednesday night” Michael Barclay claiming victory over Darren Thompson on October 29 and Wayne Rogers, who is displaying excellent late year form, taking the choccies from Dan Young on November 5.
A special note of thanks and appreciation from snooker club members to ClubMulwala after completion of reclothing of both snooker tables.

Best wishes to club stalwart Kevin Young who has succumbed to injury meaning he will not be able to add to his season’s trophy haul.
