This prestigious international snooker championship brings together the world’s top-ranked snooker players to compete in individual and team formats, showcasing skill, precision, and determination on the green baize.
With a prize fund of $60,000, this tournament is not just about the glory, it is about making history in the world of cue sports.
Adrian has played in many international events and is sure to represent Australian snooker in a glowing light, no doubt also flying the ClubMulwala Snooker Club flag high as he takes to the tables in Oman.
He said he is not 100 percent sure just how many international events he has competed in, but he is just as excited as the last.
“I would say I have probably competed in about 20 international events since I started playing,” Adrian said.
“The World Cup is a new event with three players selected to play in a teams event but I am the third player, so I am playing in the singles main event.
“I was selected based on rankings, past history and possibly because I was number one ranked a few years back.
“I don't play in many events anymore as work has taken a more prominent role, so I have dropped to 11th in the country at the moment.
“I made the semifinals of the World Amateur Championships in Ireland in 2012 and the quarter finals of the World Amateur Championships in India the following year.”

This time, at least on social media livestream, the world will be watching the general services manager at Indigo North Health put his cue in action on the faster surface.
Adrian said he is always well supported by friends, family and his local club, but he has received copious amounts leading into the World Cup.
“They always want to see me succeed,” Adrian said.
“Financially I will be funding myself on this occasion ... I am looking forward to competing in the World Cup and hopefully returning to Yarrawonga with some prized silverware.”
