Rochester lagging behind in crowded midweek table

Don Gillies stepped up for Rochy, skipping a 24-12 victory, along with teammates Kevin Hall (lead), Jenny Major (second) and Anton Gusak (third).

Unfortunately for Rochy, the efforts of Deniliquin’s Conway Bovell (25-15) and Tony Tonta (20-16) got Deni over the line.

Rochester (1-4) sits at the bottom of the ladder, the six teams above it all either 2-3 or 3-2.

Lower divisions

In division two, Moama defeated Rochester 16-85 to 0-28.

All three rinks, skipped by Carol Cakebread, Lyn Moon and Margaret Knight, struggled to get anything going in the heavy defeat.

In division three, Deniliquin won both rinks against Elmore 14-52 to 0-29 while Lockington won over Rochester 14-41 to 0-29.

In division four, Lockington and Moama Black finished tied 7-40.
