Yarrawonga Mulwala Little Athletics Club’s (YMLAC) own Max Coll delivered an incredible performance at the State Track and Field Championships in Melbourne over the weekend, proudly representing the club on the big stage.
Competing in both the 800m and 1500m events, Max showcased his determination and skill, going head-to-head with some of the best young athletes in the state.
In a thrilling 800m race, he secured an impressive fourth place, with mere milliseconds separating the top finishers—an incredibly tight contest!
To add to the achievement, Max recorded his best time of the season in the event.
Not stopping there, Max stormed home in the 1500m, earning a silver medal and another personal best for the season.
His outstanding performance is a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and commitment to training.
The entire YMLAC community is incredibly proud of Max’s achievements and the hard work he has put in to reach this level.
Max has now been chosen to represent Victoria at the 2025 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships to be held in Adelaide, April 25-27.
