Buller Wines’ sales representative Hayden Miles met with golf event organiser Pat Randall on November 10 at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort which hosts event competitions and is the venue for the big dinner.
That big dinner includes results of the silent auction for the wide variety of quality sporting memorabilia in the club’s foyer in the lead-up to the dinner and a live auction of numerous enticing packages – anything over the reserve price goes to the Yarrawonga Hospital.
Wonderful guest speakers attend the whole night. For example, last year Kevin Sheedy, Michael Tuck and Bob Murray were to be ‘on the couch’, interviewed by Doug Hawkins.
Unfortunately the event was cancelled due to Covid. “We hope to have them all back for our 2022 event,” Pat told the Yarrawonga Chronicle. “We hope to have 150 at the dinner and we really appreciate the support of Buller Wines.”
Golf entry forms will be out closer to the event and people not in the event will be able to enquire about their attendance at the dinner to hear some most interesting sporting questions and answers.
“Bullers love supporting this very worthy charity of the Peninsula Home Hospice,” Mr Miles said, “in this the 100th year of Buller Wines.
“On 4th December we will be holding a 100-year-old dinner as part of our history and the first 150 people wanting to attend will be accepted.”
Buller Wines has a proud history with the announcement it has again won Gold for its Shiraz Gin at a recent competition in Melbourne, on top of previous Gold-recognised performances with its Shiraz and Muscat Gin.
Premium Dry Gin, Elderflower, Heathcote Shiraz and Rare Muscat Gin present a very popular Three Chain Road (2804 Federation Way Rutherglen) range of Gins.
“We have a very talented gin and winemaker in David Whyte,” Hayden said. “David grew up in Rutherglen and has created some of Australia’s finest fortified wines. We’re open seven days a week.”
