Off to the State Championships, the winning 11 Year Girls Freestyle Relay team.
Seventeen Sacred Heart Primary School students ventured to Shepparton to compete at the Regional Swimming Championships last week.

All races the students competed in were finals. Competitors finishing in 1st place qualified for the State Championships in Melbourne with 2nd and 3rd place getters receiving a medal and a place on the podium.
Sacred Heart had a mixture of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place getters throughout the day.
Sophie Archibald, Charlie Bourke, Lach Cruikshank and Fraser Nagle competed in the 50m Freestyle event. Fraser finished in 1st place and will go onto represent the school at the State Swimming Championships to be held in Melbourne on Friday, April 29.
Makayla George, Lach Cruikshank and Fraser Nagle (2nd) competed in the 50m Backstroke. Charlie Bourke (1st) and Maddison Kerr (4th) represented our school in the 50m Breaststroke. Charlie will join Fraser in Melbourne for the State Championships.
Charlie Bourke will go to the State Championships after finishing first in the 50m breaststroke.
In the 9/10 Years Boys Freestyle Relay, Flynn Cox, Jacob Halili, Tyler Buerckner and Charlie Bourke came 3rd in their event. In the 11 Year. Boys Freestyle Relay, Lachlan Cruikshank, Jack Chadwick, Eliot Bye and Jackson Smith came 2nd in the region. A great effort.
In the 11 Year Girls Freestyle Relay, Maddison Kerr, Maisie Cope, Makayla George and Emily Judd came 1st. Emily swam an amazing last leg to come from behind and win the race! The girls will go onto represent the school at the State level. Fraser Nagle, Noah Cox, Andrew Murphy and Noah Cox came 5th. Well done boys.
In the 10-13 Year Boys 50m Medley Relay, Lach Cruikshank, Charlie Bourke, Andrew Murphy and Fraser Nagle put in a huge effort to be just pipped at the wall. They finished 2nd. An awesome result!
