The Yarrawonga Mulwala Swimming Club has wrapped up its Summer Season with its annual Club Championships, held over five weeks of Wednesday night competition at the Yarrawonga Outdoor Pool.

There were strong performances across all age groups highlighting a successful summer season.
Swimmers competed in both age group and open events, producing impressive results that saw multiple club records challenged and broken.
The championships were capped off with the club’s presentation night on March 11, celebrating achievements across the club and marking the conclusion of a five-month summer season.
Ribbons were awarded across all age group events, recognizing placings and performances throughout the championship series.
Aggregate awards were awarded for each stroke which highlights the swimmers achieving the most improvement across the season.
Matilda Courtney was awarded the Grand Aggregate, recognizing her consistency and outstanding performance across all strokes.
Coache’s Awards were presented across the club’s squads, with Jackson Maxted, Billie Archibald and Isla Robertson each recognised for their commitment, effort and results throughout the season.
The 7 Year Service Award was presented to Jack Bourke, Finn Angwin and Emily Buerckner, acknowledging their long-standing dedication and contribution to the club.
Renee Cox was awarded Best Club Person, recognizing her contribution, commitment and support of the club both in and out of the pool.
The club celebrated the overall progress at all levels, from junior swimmers developing fundamental skills and technique to senior athletes training and competing regularly.
Several swimmers also represented the club at state-level competitions, reflecting the depth and development within the program.
Club President Dario Prighel extended thanks to coaches Lyndon, Kevin, Jocelyn and Georgina for their commitment and leadership throughout the season. Appreciation was also given to the club committee and parent volunteers, whose ongoing support ensures the smooth operation of club nights and competition events.
With the summer season now complete, the club looks ahead to Winter training and the beginning of the Short Course season.
