The Yarrawonga Mulwala Swimming Club has officially kicked off its long-course season, with local swimmers hitting the water across the region.

Competing in the Ovens and Murray District, swimmers have been travelling to a variety of meets the past month, proudly representing the club at both district pennant events and open competitions.
Competing at recent events in Wangaratta, Wodonga and Albury, the club’s swimmers have shown commitment and enthusiasm early in the season and have embraced the challenge at every meet.
Their hard work at training across the winter season is already paying off, and it’s exciting to see so many early improvements and personal bests.
The club is confident momentum will continue to build as the season progresses.
The Yarrawonga Mulwala Swimming Club will continue their competition schedule in the coming weeks, and next head to Shepparton, with more opportunities for swimmers to continue to test themselves against top regional talent.

With the possibility of qualifying times up for grabs as entry to upcoming State meets, the swimmers continue to train hard, showing their commitment both in the pool, along with additional dryland training.
The club looks forward to the start of the Summer season in Yarrawonga, and the return of the rest of the team once the Yarrawonga outdoor pool opens.
Local swimmer represents at Junior Country Districts
Emma Thomas at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre after the Victorian Junior Districts competition in October.
Well done to swimmer Emma Thomas who was selected and swam as part of the Ovens and Murray District Team at MSAC last month.
The Victorian Country Junior District Competition sees swimmers aged 8-11 years, compete against other Districts from across Victoria.
Emma swam in individual events in all four strokes, as well as the O&M Girls 8/9yrs team freestyle relay event.
Coming away with podium finishes in her individual events was a fantastic achievement, including first in her 50m Butterfly.
