Things didn’t go all Rochester’s way against Euroa, but the Tigers’ weight of possession eventually led them to another Goulburn Valley League victory.

Rochy’s senior side maintained a spotless 2025 Goulburn Valley League record in the evening fixture, which got under way at 5pm at Moon Oval.
The Tigers were slightly wayward in front of the sticks but weren’t made to rue a 10.17 (77) scoring performance as opponent Euroa only managed 9.8 (62).
The Magpies made a strong start to the contest, kicking two of the first three majors, but Rochester slotted four straight to lead by 20 at the first break.
A cagey second period saw only two goals and nine minor scores, both majors going Euroa’s way to draw the Magpies back into the contest.
The visitor continued its momentum after half-time, taking the lead after kicking the first two goals of the third term.
But the Tigers didn’t let their opponent get away from them, quickly regaining the advantage with the next two goals.
Euroa kicked two more before quarter’s end, but Rochy’s behinds kept it in the ascendancy by just two points at the final change.
Mitch Cricelli put his stamp on the game in the final term, kicking three straight to get Rochy out by more than 20, and while the Magpies kicked the last goal of the game, the Tigers had done enough to walk out winners.
Mitch Cricelli kicked five majors in the game, including a critical three straight in the final term.

Cricelli booted five for the game, with support coming from Kyle Waters and Sean Williams, who added two each, while Nash Ramage rounded out the scorers.
Euroa spread its nine majors around, with Will Creevey the only player to kick more than one.
The GVL is in an interesting position with three rounds gone, as six teams sit undefeated at 3-0 while the other six languish at 0-3, creating a clear divide in the centre of the table.
Someone’s perfect run will be ended next week as Rochester takes on fellow undefeated side Mansfield in another home fixture.
