A-grade winner on Saturday was Digger Ring with 37 points from runner-up Josh Hunt on 34; Thomas won B-grade from runner-up Gary Riley 36; Toby Rae had 35 to win C-grade on countback to Russell Begg, and Tyson Payne scored 39 points to win D-grade from runner-up Graeme Butcher on 36.
Last Thursday was also stableford and the 18-hole winner was Jayne Hood with 38 points from runner-up Jen Choice on 37, and 9-hole winner was Leonie Chadderton with 18 points from runner-up Lorraine Plant on 15.
On Wednesday the A-grade winner was Graeme Willoughby with 35 points on countback to Andrew ‘Taffy’ Brunker, B-grade winner Warren Bull 38 points from runner-up Phil Hodgkinson 37, and C-grade winner Tony Kew 35 on countback to Peter O’Brien.
Matt Slater did not have a great score with only 25 points, but this was overshadowed by his hole-in-one on the 11th.
Tomorrow’s event is a fourball best ball, next Tuesday is 9 holes stableford, Wednesday is stableford, Thursday is stroke and medal, and Saturday is stroke and men’s medal.
This Sunday is the annual Diggers Day, which is four-person ambrose, $30 per player which includes lunch.

On Monday, Jody Fleming will again be leading junior golf lessons, with primary school age from 12.30pm to 2pm and high school age from 2pm until 3.30pm.
