In what was a disappointing weekend for the group, the girls did not drop their heads and were competitive all day.
Rennie had a great game with some skilful play up and down the court.
Blighty didn’t give up and when able to play their game moved the ball well.
Unfortunately Rennie were able to run away with the victory in the end, Blighty’s A-grade team fighting valiantly to the death.
Congratulations go to all girls who played more than one game on the day to help out.
The club is very grateful to them for going outside their comfort zone, putting their hand up and continuing to be an asset for club.

B-grade: Rennie 46 def Blighty 18.
Blighty B-grade took to the court with determination and enthusiasm, with young star Ruby Pisasale stepping up for her first taste of senior netball with a stellar performance in both defence and attack.
Whilst the score may not have shown it, the game was a tough tussle with Blighty forcing Rennie to play high quality netball.
The ever-reliable Maddie Weir was strong in defence, with midcourt players moving the ball swiftly into attack.
Rachel Bucholtz and Chelsea Weir made a formidable goal shooting duo.
A fantastic game with wonderful camaraderie, skill and passages of play. Unfortunately for Blighty, Rennie were able to get the win.

C-grade: Rennie 44 def Blighty 9
The C-grade group worked particularly hard in defence as a strong Rennie side looked to pile the score on.
Creating turnovers and intercepts at crucial times were some of the highlights from the match, although Rennie were able to showcase their class.
In goals, Blighty couldn’t seem to get their eye in and Rennie’s strong passages of play were all too much.

C-reserve: Rennie 49 def Blighty 14.
A tough game saw the C-reserve group go down to a strong Rennie side, but with a never say die attitude.
Although they were able to create some strong game plays and turnovers, Rennie were a strong, well-oiled side.

Under-17s: Rennie 61 def Blighty 25.
Welcoming back Amelia Hay who played in defence with Ruby Pisasale, the Redeyes met top of the ladder Rennie.
Once again Ruby worked hard against a very strong Rennie attack and rebounded well, taking some hard-fought intercepts.
Chelsea Weir came out to the centre and made Rennie very nervous with her fast pace and confident attack.
The first quarter saw a very even contest, to which the Hoppers brought on new players for a much harder competition going into the second.
Unfortunately, the girls couldn't match the very impressive Rennie side, however they played some very good netball and a lot of learning was taken from this game.
Chelsea Singleton attacked strongly and continued to push forward in the centre pass.
Dakota McKenzie came back this week and showed she was ready for the contest, attacked well and pushed hard for the four quarters.

Under-15s: Rennie 25 def Blighty 7.
Coming into a tough match at the weekend against Rennie, Blighty went down by 18 points.
The girls stayed positive all game and worked very hard to get as many turnovers as they could.
The defensive end did not get a break all game. Under duress from the ongoing attack of Rennie, the defenders stood up and played well.

Under-13s: Rennie 19 def Blighty 13.
Blighty started strong with Kaydnce Sibraa working the midcourt swiftly to cause multiple turn overs and assist wing Savannah Bain to move the ball into goals.
Ella Charlton and Ellie Miller worked together with determination and awareness allowing space for each other in goals.
A fabulous first half saw Blighty level with Rennie.
Despite the hard work and turnovers from Lilly Petersen in defence, Rennie were able to pull away.
All girls contested every ball, however could not keep up the momentum of the first half.

Coming up against another tough, tall team, the girls fought hard the whole game.
Poppy Armytage worked hard the whole game, getting in front of her player and helping to bring the ball down the court.
Liv Butcher and Isla Andrews worked hard as always, playing on some very tall girls and both moving around the ring beautifully.
