Tough game this week. Deni came out fast from the word go and managed to remain at that speed for the entire game however C grade Bears were no push over.
The defensive team of Grace, Hannah, Sophie and Mellissa work hard together gaining many intercepts and rebounds.
The midcourt Queen Adelle was fast and strong, reading the ball and cutting off many of Deni’s passes. Amber and Adelle fed into the ring well allowing the shooters to gain the right position.
The shooting team of Haylea and Danielle was lovely to watch in that when the ball went up it went in with very little opportunity for the Deni defence to rebound.
Great team effort and chatting on and off the court. Thanks to Danielle Sidebottom for filling in.
Awards: ClubMulwala - Grace Whitelock and Free as a bird: Danielle Sidebottom.

A well contested game against the top of the ladder Deni Rovers, showed the great improvement in the team this season.
The defensive pressure across the court was again a highlight. Players Player Jade Ralph gave her everything in defence. Her partner in crime Cait Sinclair matched her opponent for height and intensity. Rachel and Sophie Figgins both got intercepts in the midcourt. Jasmine Walker again stood tall in goals. Danielle Sidebottom enjoyed her time out in GA. Amy Hollister and Jess Arnold worked well together in midcourt attack.
Sally Eales fighting for every rebound. Congrats to Mel Kelly for her first goals with the Bears.

Under 11s
The Under 11s had 12 young cubs ready for their netball game on Saturday. The coach for the day was Danielle who prepped the girls well.
Cheering was very loud from the bench and extremely encouraging. Charlotte found herself in her usual position of goals and scored well.
The girls were hard in defence and Milli and Annabelle provided great back up on the goal circles.
Lila took over from the goals and shot well with great assistance from Eliza P. With Ruby and Macy in the centre and defence, not much would get to the Deni goals.
The team worked the ball well down the court to Ivy who was also successful in the goals. Taylor and Georgie made fantastic use of the ball and Sienna provided great pressure.
Halftime saw great interest in the container lollies with near on fights for the red ones.
Eliza L took back to the court after half time and was tall in defence with lovely intercepts. The girls continue to play well together and enjoy each other’s company.
Sally, the umpire was brilliant in her decisions and came over at the completion of the game and commended the girls on coming forward and supporting their teammates.
Coach Danielle was extremely happy with the girl’s game. She made special mention of Millie and Annabelle for constantly chasing the ball down and creating fantastic intercepts Danielle made mention she wouldn’t want to meet the powerful blonde duo on the court.
Awards: Lila for her fantastic goals, and always smiling and Ivy for chasing the ball down and for her shooting.
