The sun was shining as the team took the court in what they knew would be another hard fought game.
Katunga got a strong start and never looked like fading or dropping their intensity.
Their years of playing together was obvious. The Bears team battled hard for three quarters with some good individual performances.
Going into the last quarter the coaches for the day suggested mixing things up and playing outside the comfort zones and have defenders in attack and attackers in defence.
Some really good laughs were had in the last quarter, finishing with positivity and respect for each other.
Awards: One Zach towel – Jorja and Ricky D’s pizza – Rahni.

Someone has forgotten to remind the weather gods that this is a winter sport.
Another warm match with all super subs being used.
Welcome Maya for your first match with the Bears. The defence end was a brick wall once again, it is great (and hard) having so many strong options.
The club must mention two goal assists for Felicity. Billie-Jo stepped up in the mid court, helping with attack and feeds.
C Res had a few out this week that tested depth, but the Bears got better as the match went on.
Another good tough match.
Awards: Jaycees - Billie-Jo, Tunga pub - Renee Wren and Players Mug – Sandy.

Another warm Saturday, the sun was shining and the girls took the court not knowing what to expect with the height of Katunga.
In the first quarter both teams came out strong and by the end of the first quarter they were up by two.
Fresh legs on the court saw the momentum continue as the girls continued to push the score out with strong plays and a full team effort all over the court.
Half time saw some changes with a few game day reminders.
The girls continued to drive to the ball, switch up plays and communicate with each other in the second half to come away with the win.
Thanks to Claire and Ash for helping out.
Awards: Players player (Central Murray) – Laila, Tunga Shop - Tayla and Crusty Loaf – Chelsea.

A cooler start to the day, the Bears girls took to the court as the sun began to shine.
The first quarter saw the girls work well with various impressive plays in both attack and defence.
Up at the end of the first with changes leading into the second quarter the Bears girls started to relax and take a few chances.
Coaches were able to switch up positions on the court as the girls played their game, strong communication, clear drives to the ball with defence, mid court and attack all playing their roles to put together a strong four quarters of impressive netball with lots of positives to take away.
Well done Bears.

It was another fantastic outing for the Bears U13s this weekend as they took on Katunga and came away with a dominant 44–1 win.
During the week, the girls put in the work at training with a focus on defensive pressure, footwork, and strong drives—and it showed.
They carried that intensity into the match, working beautifully as a team from one end of the court to the other.
Relentless pressure resulted in countless turnovers, which the girls turned into scoring opportunities with great composure and teamwork.
It was a true team performance, and the coaches couldn’t be prouder of the consistent effort and improvement being shown each week.

The girls came out on a fresh cool morning at Katunga ready and prepared for a tough battle with some of the Bears smallest players coming up against some of their tallest players.
The girls moved the ball very well down the court coming forward and playing as a team for each other.
Some beautiful intercepts and smart passages of play finished off with some great shooting in the ring all day!
Awards: Tilly Lawless and Mackenzie Hodgson.
