Tungamah 42 def Rennie 31
Before the first whistle, both teams came together to observe and reflect on White Ribbon Round, standing united against domestic violence.
Tungamah then took to the court, starting strong in a fiercely contested first quarter to lead by two goals.
The second quarter remained tight, going goal for goal, with the Bears holding onto the narrowest of leads at half-time.
At the long break, the team focused on their strengths and lifted their intensity in the third quarter, extending the lead to 10 goals.
Rennie came out hard in the final term, but the Bears rose to the challenge, matching their energy and sealing an 11-goal win.
The team is settling in well and continues to improve with each game — exciting signs for the season ahead.

B Grade
Tungamah 50 def Rennie 30
The Bears hosted the Hoppers on another warm May day, getting off to a flying start and settling quickly into the game.
A strong first quarter saw the Bears take a 10-goal lead into the first break. Some well-timed changes in the second quarter injected fresh legs onto the court and helped extend the lead to 14 by half-time.
The Bears maintained their composure in the second half, finishing strongly to secure a convincing 20-goal win.
Best wishes to Tahnee for a speedy recovery — the club are all thinking of you.
The versatility of Bears players continues to be a real asset, giving the coach a range of options and highlighting the depth of the squad.

C Grade
Tungamah 23 drew with Rennie 23
With a focus on executing the fundamental netball skills, the team took the court against rivals in Rennie. Jade stepped up and played a pivotal role in centre showing her skills and brain for netball can be applied in multiple positions.
Defensively the combination of Jorja and Bridie in the goal ring saw tips, intercepts and The goalers in Dan, Illa and Chloe implemented what the team worked on at training and opened up the ring for controlled feeding.
Chloe had a standout game, keeping her head and showing all what she can do.
With a couple of injuries the playing group rallied to reset and keep their heads in a last quarter that saw bodies on the line and a desire to win.
The game ended in a draw with both teams giving everything they had.
For Tungamah the ladies day drinks were well deserved after a game everyone should be really proud of.

C Reserve
Tungamah 35 def Rennie 9
It was another warm Saturday on court.
The Bears tried a few more combinations. It took till the second quarter to settle, but then Tungamah played some good netball.
There were some great passages of play down court off the back of some spectacular defence.
Each week C Res get that little bit better, let’s keep building.

Under 17s
Tungamah 38 def by Rennie 50
Last Saturday was always going to be a tough fought out game between the Bears and Hoppers. Bears started strong to take the lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second saw the score line tighten up with Hoppers taking the lead at half time.
After a half time regrouped, the 17s Bears took the court playing their game with impressive passages of play, determination and strong communication on and off the court, supporting and encouraging each other all four quarters.
Great team effort girls.

Under 15s
Tungamah 39 def Rennie 13
The sun was shining again. There was a sense of nervous tension in the air as both teams prepared to take the court.
Tungamah had a slow start but quickly found their rhythm thanks to their responsiveness to feedback from the coaches.
The defenders stood strong, creating crucial turnovers and keeping the pressure on.
In the mid court, composure and control were key as they worked the ball down to the attackers, who didn’t miss their chance to shine.
Rennie created a strong defence in the ring during the final quarter, but Tungamah held steady, showing determination to maintain their lead and seal the win.
Well done girls – a fantastic team effort.

Under 13s
Tungamah 26 def Rennie 13
The Under 13s had another great win this weekend, defeating Rennie 26–13 in a strong team performance.
The girls worked beautifully together on court, showing great teamwork and communication throughout the match.
There was no shortage of effort, with plenty of exciting passages of play across all areas of the court.
Milli and Annabelle were standouts through the midcourt, providing strong, consistent drives and linking the play nicely into attack.
Georgie was a force in defence, picking up numerous turnovers and chasing down loose balls in GD.
There was an increase in contact and obstruction calls this week, so the team will be focusing on tidying up that area of their defensive pressure in the coming rounds.

Under 11s

The under 11s girls proved themselves a team with all of them playing together in different combinations.
There were many intercepts, taps and chased balls, all of which were worked on at training.
Many of the girls are taking on feedback during quarter times, bettering themselves. Another great performance.
