Four wins on the trot now have most of the team feeling hotter than a tradies dashboard in the summer.
Although there are a lot of improvements which can be made, sitting fifth on the ladder is a great outcome after starting the year 1-3.
The Bears have come to love over the last 10 years may be due for a name change as Neddy McKeown is in some red-hot form.
He kicked another six last weekend and leads the league goal kicking.
O'Kane and Irvine shared two goals each while ‘Cheesy’ Powell slotted three beauties which made all the grandparents around the ground feel jealous and think to themselves, ‘how does he still do it and I can’t’.
Led by Beaton, Montgomery and Holcombe, the backline was solid all day.
New ruckman Glenn Dominick had more love and support than A Grade’s past ruckman Reilly.
Domo battled all day and thoroughly deserves his name in the paper, which is one of the prouder achievements a man can have in local footy.
Sean Johns knew the cameras were capturing the game and added some serious polish and grunt in the middle of the ground, which changed the game after a difficult first quarter.
Following the game the reverse raffle was on.
Tungamah turns their attention to Deniliquin on their home ground, in a fourth vs fifth match up.
It will be a tough game but these ones are the games a team must win, and will show where Tungamah are at as a team.
Reserves
Tungamah 10.11.71 def Jerilderie 1.0.6
This weeks lunchtime legends game was proudly sponsored by Dulux paint thinners, as Tungamah knew the crowd would be glued to their seats to watch the curtain raiser for the Holcombe cup.
Both teams went about serving up 10 minutes of quality football, spaced periodically over an hour-long game.
Jezza Kelly returned for his first game of the year in peak physical fitness.
By quarter time he was more cooked than a servo pie at 11pm and covered the ground like his knees owe him money.
In a chalk and cheese comparison of ins, Ning also returned from injury and had it on a string at centre half forward, having a lot of the footy.
Hayes ‘Wanganeen-Milera’ dished out more service than a Macca’s drive through.
Banga must have rummaged through the janitors closet pre-game as he mopped up everything that came through the backline.
Tyler Green ran hard through the corridor.
The Magoo’s collect another four points and set themselves up for the battle to determine second place next week.

Thirds
Tungamah 20.19.139 def Jerilderie 3.2.20
The Thirds started off with the coach selecting a number of the Tungamah players to help out the struggling Jerilderie.
The thirds started off strong with plenty of the action down the attacking end.
Accuracy in the first quarter wasn’t the greatest but the side chalked up plenty on the scoreboard.
The game progressed with Tungamah really dominating and showing fierce determination and grit.
The contest was played in good spirit, which was even commented on by the opposing team.
This week was a fabulous opportunity to allow our entire team to have plenty of game time.
Great work Bears.

Fourths
Tungamah 4.2.26 def by Jerilderie 4.8.32
With a fresh start to the morning, the fourths had to kick the frost off the ground before they could dive into some real footy.
The first quarter was a well-contested battle, with great pressure from both sides.
However, it seemed that the grippo the fourths applied before the game didn’t quite do the trick, as it appeared to rub off on the ball, and allowed Jerilderie's bigger players to outmark Tungamah.
The fourths headed into the last quarter three goals down, and showcased their never-give-up attitude.
Tungamah came out strong and kicked three straight goals to level the scores.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the fourths day, as an unlucky call allowed Jerilderie to score a goal in the last minute of the game.
Despite the result, the fight the boys displayed in that final quarter was commendable and will be essential in the coming weeks.
Well done everyone, keep that spirit alive.
