COACHES CORNER / SEAN HORSBURGH
What’s the biggest focus for your group in 2026?
To continue on from the work that Brad Gleeson did last year... just want to continue climbing up the ladder and help with the younger boys' development, and hopefully string a few more wins together.
What will supporters notice about this team?
You're going to have a side that's competitive each week. Supporters can come expecting a good game and think that we're a chance of winning most weeks.
What’s your side’s greatest strength?
I reckon our greatest strength this year would probably be our flexibility with players being able to play multiple positions where, in the past, we probably haven't had that luxury.
What still needs the most work?
I think we need to be a lot fitter than we were last year, and take care of the football a lot better than we have, so they're probably our two main focusses at the moment.
What does success look like for this group in 2026?
Like all clubs at this time of year we want to contend and play in the finals, but I think the marker for us will be just to continue climbing up the ladder. I think we won six or seven games last year, so we would be expect to be winning more than that.
