The game will be played at the home of the Raiders, at Jack Eddy Oval in Moama.
The Wanderers had three matches in preparation for the competition’s start, putting them in good stead for the season ahead.
They played Hay and La Trobe Uni in pre-season matches, as well as already having played a match for the league’s League Cup fixture.
From those three games, the Wanderers had one draw and two losses.
One of those losses was in the League Cup, which saw them eliminated from the competition.
Sunday’s season opener is one with exciting prospects; two rivals playing one another and both looking to get a win in round one.
Wanderers president Christian Ellis said it should be a good game.
“We’re pretty excited this year with the team, with new faces definitely bringing more depth to the squad.
“The team is keen on the first league game of the season.
“Moama won both games last year but with a strong pre-season and just missing out against Swan Hill, we’re hoping for a win this weekend.”
The game will start at 2pm Sunday, on Jack Eddy Oval number two.
