Back to the Future star James Tolkan dies aged 94
James Tolkan, known for Back to the Future and Top Gun, has died aged 94 after a remarkable acting career spanning decades.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, 4 February 2024, aged 86 years.
Beloved partner of Noreen (Treasure).
Loving father of Noel, Kevin and Ryan.
Stepfather of Wayne and Joanne.
Grandfather of Thomas, Rohan, Conor and Jaxon.
Eldest brother of Robert, Dawn and Gordon.
George was deeply proud of his military service as a founding member of the Royal Ceylon Navy Band. He was passionately dedicated to his love of Music and appointed as the Bandmaster of the Frankston City Band shortly after arriving in Australia in the late 1960's. He went on to become the founding Bandmaster of the Springvale City Band and continued to play and remain active in the music and ex-Services community for the remainder of his life.
A man of honour, integrity, generosity and immense humour. A life well lived.
