KOERNER, Wendye Elena

Passed away peacefully at Royal Adelaide Hospital

on Sunday 20 September 2026,

two days prior to her 62nd birthday.

Cherished younger daughter of the late

Margarita and Fred Koerner.

Deeply loved and loving wife of 39 years to Scott Bungey,

a beautiful mother to Tasha and her husband Nick,

and an excited expectant grandmother.

Adored, respected and so loved by

Tracye and Greg, Sascha Margarita,Yelena and Josh.

Devoted Wemmy to Zara.

Generous and gracious, Wendye always put the needs of others before her own and tackled her illness bravely

with compassion and the utmost appreciation

for those caring for her.

A proud and committed educator, her loss will be forever felt deeply by Wendye's family, her many friends,

former colleagues and students.
