Passed away peacefully in Mareeba, Queensland, on 2 June 2026, aged 80 years. Born in Yass, New South Wales, on 23 January 1946.
Eldest son of Betty Bogatek.
Much loved father of Michael and Jayne.
Brother of Joe, Robert, Jane and Andrew.
John loved travelling Australia in his Nissan Ute, photography, birds, art and astrology. He made great friends wherever he went and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him. Through his travels and kindness, he touched the lives of many people along the way and will be remembered by friends and family across Australia and beyond.
A private cremation has been held. A scattering of John's ashes will take place at a later date.
Forever remembered, sadly missed, and always loved.
