Rainfall last week came just in time for the region’s cropping farmers, with the Bureau of Meteorology recording inconsistent falls across the state’s north.

Holland Creek’s Wrightley gauge near Tatong recorded rainfalls of 29.4mm over two days from Thursday, April 9 to Friday, April 10, while Benalla recorded 24.8mm for the same period.
Myrrhee rain gauges registered 21.2mm of rain, while Shepparton airport recorded falls of 14.6mm over the two days.
The significant rainfall failed to drift much further west, with gauge values reducing to 9.8mm in Tatura and 8mm in Echuca.
Forecasts look to remain cloudy for the remainder of the week, before sunshine can be expected over the weekend and into next week, according to the bureau.
