Goulburn, Loddon and Broken systems have been granted increases in seasonal irrigation allocations.
The Resource Manager for northern Victoria announced an update on December 15.
The Bullarook system receives a non-zero seasonal determination for the first time in 2025-26. The Bullarook seasonal determination is 20 per cent of high-reliability water shares.
The seasonal determination in the Goulburn and Loddon systems increases from 66 per cent to 69 per cent.
The Broken system increases from 39 per cent to 42 per cent.
The Murray and Campaspe systems remain unchanged at 100 per cent.
Resource Manager Mark Bailey said recent rainfall and milder weather had provided the resource improvements needed for allocation.
“Resources in the Bullarook system have slowly increased across the last few months,” Dr Bailey said.
“With rainfall across the last days of November, flows into the Bullarook storages have enabled seasonal determinations to begin for the water year.
“There were also resource improvements from the rain in the Broken, Goulburn and Loddon systems that led to seasonal determination increases.”
