The golf legend, 50, returned to his home in Jupiter, Florida, on Wednesday after seeking treatment outside the United States following the March 27 rollover crash that reignited scrutiny around the former world No 1's health and personal struggles.
A source has told People magazine as he continues navigating the fallout from his recent car crash and DUI charge: "Tiger took his trip seriously and is all about continuing his recovery and putting this chapter behind him.
"He is in good spirits and also can't wait to put the legal issues to rest."
Fifteen-time major champion Woods, whose career has spanned dominant Masters victories, historic Ryder Cup appearances and years of injury setbacks, as well as his infamous cheating scandal, has remained one of the most recognisable figures in sport since first transforming golf in the late 1990s.
In recent years, Woods has also made headlines for his repeated comeback attempts, ongoing fitness battles and public relationship with Vanessa Trump, 48, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr.
Tiger and Vanessa have reportedly bonded over family life and golf, with sources describing her children as "like family" to the golfer.
A separate source within the golf community told People Woods remains determined to return to the sport despite mounting concerns over his physical condition.
The golfer has undergone multiple surgeries in recent years and continues recovering from severe leg injuries sustained in his 2021 Los Angeles car crash, which nearly ended his professional career.
A source said: "Golf is very much on Tiger's mind and will be in (the) coming months as he gets back to it here in whatever ways he can.
"Golf is who he is, and those in the sport respect and like him. He will do whatever he has to to get back in whatever way he can in light of his injuries and age. He is not a quitter."
Woods addressed the situation publicly in a statement posted on X on March 31, days after his recent crash.
He said: "I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today.
"I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.
"This is necessary in order for me to prioritise my well-being and work toward lasting recovery."
He added. "I'm committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally."
