A thick blanket of fog surrounded the ground and it seemed winter had really set in. However, the sun emerged and it was an ideal day for sport.

Heading into this game the girls knew they had a pretty big task ahead.
Taking on the undefeated Waaia was going to be tough.

Great defensive work from Chelsea Beavis and strong driving by Eliza Strawhorn and Lexie Nolen, gave Brylee an epic ten-goal quarter and Rennie was down by seven at half time.
A stellar third quarter by all players, working hard and playing as a team got Rennie back in touch with only two goals in it at three quarter time.
The fourth quarter saw a more polished and experienced Waaia side take control of the game and win.

Accurate shooting from the goalers was pivotal for the team to win as there were many turnovers from both sides.
Coach Dee even made an appearance on court for the team, which in the end helped by adding extra defensive experience and pressure.
The fourth quarter was goal for goal and it was whoever could capitalise and covert on turnovers that would win.
