He is one of six men who allege Jones kissed, groped or subjected them to sexual misconduct between 2003 and 2020 across Sydney and the NSW Southern Highlands.
Jones has pleaded not guilty to 22 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching without consent, eight of which relate to the former radio station employee.
The man, who was 18 years old when he met Jones, claims the longtime shock jock kissed him in a lift at his home and workplace and groped him in a car and at an event.
In messages sent after the alleged indecent assaults, the former radio station staffer praised Jones and told him he missed and loved him.
"You had to text him in a flirty way … to curry favour," he told the court.
He said he wished he hadn't sent a message to Jones telling him he was watching a soccer match in his underwear, agreeing it had "unfortunately" been sent to titillate the radio host.
But the former radio station staffer denied his messages were inconsistent with his allegations of indecent assault.
"I was flirting with him because he was the most powerful person in Australia," he said.
"Over 14 pages, you're going to see similar messages but that doesn't change what he did to me."
He maintained he only responded to Jones's messages and tried to defuse explicit suggestions, saying he felt physically sick at some of the messages they wrote to each other.
The former radio station staffer said he had been extremely intimidated by Jones and scared of what he would do if he did not get the response he sought.
"I always had a constant fear that Alan knew what had happened between us and I felt that was always held over me," he said.
Asked whether he had any sexual interest in Jones, he retorted emphatically.
"Absolutely not."
The former radio station staffer said he was trying to stay on the good side of Jones when he said the older man "only ever treated me with great decency and tremendous generosity" in a text congratulating him on his retirement.
He told the court the declaration was completely untrue and that he felt "genuinely nauseous" reading the text.
The text was sent after the former radio station staffer confided in former radio host Ray Hadley that he had been subjected to unwanted kisses and groping by Jones more than a decade earlier.
"I just broke down sobbing," the former radio staffer said emotionally.
"I said 'he's a f***ing grub - he used to grab me on the cock'."
He revealed the assaults after learning journalist Peter FitzSimons was researching similar allegations about Jones and subsequently spoke to the journalist.
Although he did not want to be identified, the former radio station staffer said he wanted FitzSimons to know there was truth in the allegations.
He refused Hadley's offer to go to police together, instead swearing the 2GB mornings host to secrecy.
"I didn't want anyone to know," he told the court.
He was later contacted by Sydney Morning Herald journalist Kate McClymont, who used a pseudonym when referring to his allegations in an article that eventually led to Jones's arrest in 2024.
Jones's barrister has accused the former staffer of rewriting his history with the former radio host, promising to test his credibility and reliability during her cross-examination.
Her client has denied all of the allegations against him, which are said to have occurred during the latter part of his 35-year broadcasting career, when he dominated Sydney's airwaves.
He also broadcast to a national audience for years as a regular commentator on Nine's Today Show and the host of a political discussion show on Sky News.
