A photographer has been charged after allegedly stealing camera equipment from a Bondi Beach massacre victim and pawning it days after the mass shooting.

Fifteen people, including former police officer and photographer Peter Meagher, died in the Bondi Beach terror attack on December 14, with alleged gunman Naveed Akram later charged with murder and terrorism offences.
Police allege a 35-year-old man hired as a photographer at the Bondi Beach Hanukkah event stole Mr Meagher's camera equipment in the aftermath of the shooting before pawning it days later.
The 61-year-old retired detective sergeant, a beloved figure at the Randwick Rugby Club, had also been working as a photographer at the Chanukah by the Sea event when he was shot dead.
Officers executed a search warrant in Sydney's northwestern suburbs on Wednesday morning, where they located and seized a camera, handcuffs and electronic devices, a small amount of white crystal powder and further electronics in a car.
The 35-year-old was arrested and charged with larceny.
He has since been granted strict conditional bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court on June 22.
