The Mulwala crew is encouraging locals to consider whether they have what it takes to serve their community in a vital emergency services role while also getting paid.
The recruitment drive is aimed at people who are ready for a challenge and want to play an active role in keeping their community safe.
You will receive comprehensive training for on-call firefighters, covering all aspects of the work involved.
Recruitment Officer Donna Simmons said they welcome applicants who are available during the day and willing to learn.
“We are after people from all backgrounds and age is no barrier except you do have to have a driver’s licence,” Ms Simmons said.
“We have people from a diverse range of backgrounds, such as mechanics, business analysts, surveyors and even full-time students.”
Applicants need to hold a current NSW driver’s licence, be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident of Australia, live or work within a reasonable distance of the station and have daytime availability to respond to emergencies.
