The JC Lowe Oval was in perfect condition for the seniors’ game against Tocumwal.
Following a competitive start from Tocumwal, the boys started to gain control.
Whilst inaccurate in front of goal, it was good to have a strong win against well coached opposition.
Ben Beaton was best afield whilst Wally Thompson was super down back all day.
Nick Irvine, Terence Jones, Angus Ford and Matt O’Kane also contributed well throughout the day.
Reserves
Tungamah 13.8 86 defeated Tocumwal 0.3.3
The reserves had a good win at the JC Lowe Oval, versus a determined Tocumwal outfit.
Led by veteran Alan Richardson who was best on ground with plenty of footy and 3 goals, the Bears outfit were too good.
Adrian Connell played a ripper game, with plenty of run and carry and 3 goals, as did Shane Thomson who was everywhere in the 1st half.
Tom Lidgerwood rebounded plenty of the footy on the half back line, and then in the ruck, along with other backmen Jack Connell and Callum Giggins.
Angus Heslin was another good contributor on the day in the middle, along with Justin Saunders, Mitch Adkins, Will Prescott, Mitch Goldman and Jack Clarke.
Big man Jake Henderson presented well up forward bagging 2 majors for the day.
Captain Matt Powell tried hard, along with Corey Bourke. Joel McAllen put in a good performance and used the footy well.
In the end Tungamah were victorious 13.8 vs 0.3 and can now put their feet up with a bye next weekend.

Tungamah 8.12 60 defeated Tocumwal 7.5 47
On a beautiful sunny Saturday, the Bears welcomed Tocumwal to the Grove. In a match that was played in good spirit the lead changed many times.
The Toc boys managed to get out to a 2-goal lead but the never say die Bears clawed their way back into the game. It was touch and go right to the end with the Bears getting over the line by 13 points.
The boys were ecstatic with their win. It was a great team effort with everyone contributing. Let’s all get to training and take the excitement into the next match.

The boys were close to Tocumwal in the 1st quarter. Cooper and Declan are showing great improvement in the forward line.
Kynan and Kade played a great game and did what the coaches asked. Archie was ever reliable around the ground. Jayden showed great leadership around the ground.
