Organised by teacher Lachlan Alexander, the fundraising campaign brought together students, staff and the wider school community in support of Australians affected by blood cancer.
A group of students, including Charlotte Major, Ryder Levy, Zaidyn Norrie, Max Harman, Laura Fowls and Holly Kerr, took part in the event by shaving their heads or colouring their hair, helping to raise awareness and vital funds for the cause.
Joining them were staff members Lachlan Alexander, Cameron Holmes and Richard Hubbard, who also shaved their heads in a show of solidarity and support.
The fundraising efforts extended well beyond the shave itself, with students and staff organising a range of successful activities, including a casual clothes day, bake sale, ‘guess the lollies in the jar’ competition and online fundraising campaign.
The event was made even more special thanks to the generosity of local hairdressers Chloe Cook and Sophie Hollis, who volunteered their time, tools and professional skills to carry out the shaves and hair colouring on the day.

The overwhelming support from the Benalla community has helped the team surpass expectations, with donations continuing to roll in.
Inspired by the community’s generosity, participants have now set their sights on an ambitious new fundraising goal of $10,000.
Mr Alexander said the support shown by students, staff, families and the wider community had been overwhelming and highlighted the compassion and community spirit that existed within Benalla P-12 College.
The event has not only raised significant funds for an important cause but has also provided students with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, demonstrating the power of community, leadership and generosity.
