The grants support projects that strengthen social ties, reduce isolation and build community‑led wellbeing across Benalla Rural City.
Funding is provided in partnership with the Benalla and District Social Inclusion Action Group and the Victorian Department of Health.
Benalla Mayor Bernie Hearn said the program continued to play an important role in supporting local ideas that helped people feel connected.
“These grants help people come together in ways that feel safe, welcoming and meaningful,” Cr Hearn said.
“It’s about supporting local groups to lead the work they know will make a difference.”
This year’s program features two grant categories, offering support for both First Nations-led initiatives and broader community projects.
Together, these categories provide opportunities for community groups and organisations to deliver activities, events and programs that help people feel more connected and supported.
